Robert John Mills

  General Notes:

father was John Alonzo Mills, born in Montreal, possibly, lived in High River where son Robert was born, John was a well driller, built his own rig, he was crippled, as a young man he injured one foot in a skating accident which became infected and left him crippled, one leg shorter, he left his wife, Sarah Ellen Beck and four children, The family never heard from him again. Relatives--Allen Beck, brought Robert and family to California. Brothers William Russell and sister Marjorie Winnifred also sister Ethel Doris; Mother Sarah Ellen was born in Quorn, England, married in Canada,

Mother came to Canada and married about age 25; brother Allen Beck and their parents, George and Fanny Beck and at least these two children came.

Robert married Jean Lloyd, daughter of Spens Lloyd and Elizabeth Jane Adamson, on 3 Sep 1937 in Berkeley, California. (Jean Lloyd was born on 20 Feb 1916 in Mammoth, Juab, Utah, died on 28 Aug 1990 in Grass Valley, Nevada, California and was buried on 1 Sep 1990 in Grass Valley, Nevada, California.)
