baptized in St. John's Parish in Newcastle-Upon Tyne. Neither birth or baptism has been found in parish records; however she is shown in the Leck family Bible with birth of 20 July 1826, the same date given in her father's notebook; Marriage or more probably banns announced in
Barony Parish, no parents listed. John give marriage date as 14 Nov 1845 at
birth registrations, James Spens was listed as a witness to son John Menzie's
birth; Age 34 in 1861 Census Fm 103858, En Dist. 5, 644-7; Age 55 in 1881

record in Scotland, 1898, No. 104 age 71, Blythswood, Glasgow, widow;
!On Louisa's birth registration (Fm 103,376), John Leck reported that Elizabeth was born in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and was 29 years old in June 1855; Elizabeth reported daugher, Sarah Jane's birth with her Mark, and Spens was spelled Spence. Her name is spelled Elizabeth on every entry except that of her father.
Death in Leck Family Bible was given as 7 Mar 1899;
Elisabeth married John Leck, son of John Leck and Margaret Paris, on 14 Nov 1845 in Barony Parish, Cowcaddens, Lanarkshire, Scotland. (John Leck was born on 12 Jan 1823 in Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland and died on 19 Aug 1889.)
