In the 1861 and 1871 census returns Gilbert is living with their son (also Gilbert), but Ann is not there although Gilbert is listed as married rather than widowed on both returns.

Ann married Gilbert Brown. (Gilbert Brown was born about 1824 in South Shields, Durham, England.)
