Abraham Penfold was born in Puttenham sometime between January and May 1752. He
was one of two children born to George and Ann Penfold(nee Toft). He married
Mary Elliot from Chiddingfold and they had 10 children.(6m,4f)
His children had very biblical names and Abraham himself was a bass singer in
the Puttenham choir. George Penfold, the carpenter and wheelwright, was his
eldest son.
