In 1860, 1870 and 1880 he was living in Hartford, Connecticut with his sister Louisa, was working as a stone cutter, and his wife was not with him [cen.]. In 1889 he was living in Hartford, Connecticut, working as a stonecutter [Anc.]. [In the U.S. he spelled his name Tinline].
